Biografia
Alex Klein
iniciou seus estudos na música aos 9 anos no Brasil. Um ano depois
ele fez sua estréia, assim começou a tocar profissionalmente.
Ele foi nomeado como Principal Oboé, da renomada Orquestra Sinfônica
de Chicago, pelo diretor de música Daniel Barenboim e colaborou com
alguns dos mais expressivos nomes do cenário da música.
Klein apresentou-se como solista com a Orquestra da Filadelfia, a Orchestra
de la Suisse Romande e em inúmeras ocasiões com a Sinfônica
de Chicago. Como músico de câmara Klein tem colaborado com
o Vermeer Quartet, Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, Christoph Eschenbach,
Daniel Barenboim e seus colegas da Sinfônica de Chicago: Larry Combs,
Dale Clevenger e Adolph "Bud" Herseth. Klein também é
músico pertencente ao Festival de Música de Câmara de
Santa Fé e Seattle.
Um dos
mais premiados oboístas na história com este instrumento,
Alex Klein foi o primeiro oboísta a receber o primeiro prêmio
do Concurso Internacional de Execução Musical em Genebra,
na Suíça, desde então só nomes, como o suíço
Heinz Holliger tinham sido honrados durante os últimos 30 anos. Klein
também recebeu o Primeiro Prêmio na Competição
Internacional de Oboe, de F. Gillet and Nova Iorque, onde recebeu muitas
honrarias acadêmicas.
Alex Klein tem sido recordista desde os 14 anos de idade e adquirido uma
extensa lista de trabalhos gravados em uma variedade de gêneros: de

em Paris em um constante desenvolvimento de instrumentos superiores, e estendendo
as possibilidades técnicas e musicais do oboé, muitas vezes
através de novas composições, feitas especialmente
por ele.
É
membro da Sinfônica de Chicago e professor da seção
de oboé da Orquestra Cívica de Chicago, também professor
de oboé na Universidade de Roosevelt e Professor Associado de Oboe
na Universidade Northwestern.
